GrabCar submits bulk application for Provisional Authority (PA) in LTFRB

GrabCar is showing its customers and partners that they are serious in doing business in the Philippines. This morning, they just complied for another round of government requirement in order to operate legally in the country. Instead of telling their Grab Peers (Grab Car Operators) to submit their individual applications, Grab Car did it for its Grab Peers.

Today, MyTaxi PH, the company behind Grab Taxi and GrabCar filed applications for Provisional Authority in bulk in behalf of its growing operators called Grab Peers.

In July 7, we reported that GrabCar became legal to operate in the Philippines by getting the go signal and approval from LTFRB.

The filing for Provisional Authority is the first stage for the Grab Peers to officially transport passengers in the streets of Metro Manila. There will be next stages like hearings which Grab Peers will be obliged to submit more documents to LTFRB. These documents include but not limited to Passenger Insurance Policy, Statement of Financial Capability, Income Tax Return or BIR Certificate of Registration, Certificate of Business Name issued by the DTI or SEC, location maps, and the likes. The drivers of the Grab Peers has also sets of documentary requirements.

Grab Peers should take note that fees included in the application is only P510 for the first two (2) units and P70 per unit in excess of two units thereafter.
