Huawei Mobile Philippines has just officially unveiled their first 18:9 smartphone here in the Philippines, the Huawei Nova 2i, also known as Maimang 6 in China and Mate 10 Lite in European countries. Due to its higher anticipation, receiving warm response, the said smartphone just sold 1,000 units in one hour only. Amazing isn’t it?
In case you missed it, the Huawei Nova 2i is not really a bezel-less smartphone, it’s just having a really thin bezels in its 5.9-inch FHD+ IPS panel with 2160 x 1080 resolution, which equates to a quite sharp 409 ppi.
Powering the device is the Kirin 659 chipset, along with Mali-T830 GPU, 64GB storage and 4GB RAM. A microUSB slot is also available, but using a hybrid-SIM slot. For battery, the phone carries a 3,340 mAh non-removable battery and runs on Android OS v7.0 “Nougat”, using Huawei’s proprietary EMUI 5.1 UI.
It is also the world’s first Android smartphone to have four cameras: consisting of two lenses on the back, and two snappers for selfies. The former, has 16-megapixel primary shooter and 2-megapixel lens, accompanied by optical image stabilization, phase detection auto-focus and dual-LED flash; while the latter has a 13-megapixel plus 2-megapixel sensors.

Availability
The Huawei Nova 2i is now available nationwide for a solid price of P14,990. During the launch, there’s a free JBL Flip 3 bluetooth speaker for those who bought the phone. But, from October 18 to November 22, another kind of bluetooth speaker will be one of the freebies. It will also offer in Home Credit, with maximum of six months installment period.
