So Lenovo did not stop after the success of the A7000 Lenovo phone. The form factor, the screen size, the feature like ATMOS Dolby, and the price point that is at the reach of the mass market made Lenovo fast in introducing the Lenovo A7000 Plus.
Lenovo A7000 Plus, like the Lenovo A7000, is exclusively sold at Lazada. The official suggested retail price (SRP) is P7,999.
We were lucky to be invited over by Lazada a couple of days ago for the live unboxing of the Lenovo A7000 Plus.
Are you ready to see what’s inside the Lenovo A700 Plus?
Unboxing Lenovo A7000 Plus
The Lenovo Phone box looks the same as the previous model. A white box with the photo of the A7000 Plus on top, and the back is the quick specs.
Opening the Lenovo A7000 Plus box reveals the smartphone plus a slew of accessories that will make you a happy end-user. If you skipped the Lenovo A7000, you’d be glad. Aside from the bumped up specs, better camera, upgraded RAM, the A7000 Plus has a free case for additional protection.

The free casing is not new in the industry. OPPO’s premium smartphones always come with a free casing.
Inside the box are the usual suspects — the wall charger that looks like rugged and won’t be dead anytime soon, the micro-USB cable, and the 2,900mAH removable battery.
But wait, where is the headset?
Yes, the A7000 Plus will ship without the headset. I’d like to think that it defeats the main purpose of putting the ATMOS Dolby feature. Is the free case the trade-in accessory for the headset?
Maybe.

Lenovo A7000 Plus comes with a removable back cover which allows the user to access the dual-SIM slots, the micro-SD slot, and the battery.

Here is a closer look when you remove that back cover. Be careful in handling the back cover, it is so thin you might break it. Both SIM uses micro-SIM and the first SIM is the one that has LTE-enabled.

Lenovo Phone with NTC digital certificate
You’d be glad to see the digital certificate of NTC with Lenovo A7000 Plus. There is no need for find for the sticker anywhere outside the phone.

The bumped up specs can be easily noticed with the display of the A7000 Plus. The full HD display is so clear and the viewing angle is very good. You also see familiar UI with Lenovo’s home grown apps like ShareIt (which is a handy cool app that transfer files so easy), and SyncIt.
The capacitive buttons do not light up in the evening. So you have to memorize it, the left-most button brings out the menu, the middle is the home button, and the right-most is the back button.
You have to group the apps according to your taste, this is because the A7000 Plus has no app drawer.

Lenovo A7000 Plus Benchmarks
When we run Antutu with our unit, we got a high score of 43,132. Nenamark gave us a 61.7fps. Gizguide gus PJ benchmark result shows different figures. His unit had an Antutu score of 46,257.
Lenovo A7000 Plus Camera
This is where you will rejoice if you skipped the A7000. The A7000 Plus comes with a 13MP rear camera with a lens that has F/2.0 opening plus a dual LED flash. The F/2.0 opening will help you a lot in taking pictures specially in low-light condition.
During the unboxing sessions at Lazada office, we had a chance to snap few photos. And since we only had limited time to play around with the Lenovo phone, we used the camera’s automatic settings.
Lenovo A7000 Plus Sample Photos

Here are few sample shots we did. The original size of the photos are 4096 x 2304 pixels. We resized it to fix in this blog. Other than that we did not touch the images.

A close-up shot above shows details of the image.

This image above shows how sharp the subject is.

I also like how Lenovo A7000 Plus blurred the background of this image.
