Lenovo Mobile Philippines launched three smartphones today, the K5 series with the two of them that are bundled with VR headset and TheaterMax controller.
Their flagship model VIBE K5 Note with 5.5-inch display, VIBE K5 Plus and VIBE K5 with both 5-inch displays. All three devices are 4G/LTE enabled, microSD expansion and dual micro SIM.
To cater to different age group and specific users, the K5 Series addresses the missing device on the K4 Note, a controller to fully enjoy VR content.
Let’s take a look at the different VIBE K5 series.
The flagship model VIBE K5 Note
The VIBE K5 Note has 5.5-inch full HD IPS display, Dolby Atmos speakers, fingerprint sensor, a 64-bit 1.8Ghz octa-core CPU matched with 3GB of RAM. The GPU is a Mali T860.
Lenovo changed the size of the SIM card on the K5 Note, they now employ dual hybrid Nano SIM cards, both are 4G/LTE enabled but you get to choose your configuration. Should you choose the expand the existing 32G internal storage you can use the other slot up to 128GB micro SD.
The cameras on the K5 Note are 13MP PDAF, Auto Focus feature and LED flash. The front-facing camera has 8MP fixed-focus point.
The K5 and K5 Plus, same size different internals
Now little bit smaller Android device, the K5 and K5 Plus, looks exactly the same. The difference lies on the internals.
Both devices have 5-inch display but the screen resolution differs. The K5 has HD display with 1280 x 720 pixels while the K5 Plus has full HD display.
The K5 Plus, with a light price difference, also enjoys the split-screen technology by Lenovo called TheaterMax. So The K5 Plus is also sold with the bundle of VR headset and the TheaterMax controller.

All the VIBE K5 series will be available by the end of this week. You’ll see them in all Lenovo stores nationwide.
The VIBE K5 Note SPR is P11,999. The VIBE K5 Plus official SRP is P8,999 and the VIBE K5 has a price tag of P6,999.
