OPPO’s design has leveled up already. From the packaging to the accessories up to the device itself, you know that it was carefully designed, hence the price is justified. Here’s our “better-late-than-never” review of the OPPO R7 Lite. Drumroll, please…
Well, it is still in the market, you can still consider this review because, who knows you already hate that smartphone that you bought last December and is already dying.
Let’s talk about what’s included in the package first.

OPPO R7 Lite: Inside the box
A robust wall charger with 3-ampere will charge your phone faster, not to mention the fast charge features built-in to the phone by OPPO. The micro-USB cable is not your ordinary cable and the in-ear headset looks promising too. To protect the R7 Lite for accidental bumps and scratches, they included a jelly case. The usual manuals are inside the box and the SIM ejector tool.
Design and construction
I’ve said it before and I will state it once more. OPPO’s design has the quality that you want. The velvety metallic feel, as they call it makes it look premium and sturdy.

Here’s a closer look at the R7 Lite. On the right side, you will find the volume rocker and on top of that is the SIM tray. The power button is on the left side. Notice also that they pre-installed a screen protector.

The back has the 13MP square-type camera and the LED flash, and the right bottom part is the speaker grill.

The jelly case helps in the grip of the R7 Lite. You can’t hold it properly as it is slippery because of the metallic finish.
Display and UI
The crisp and bright display is what you will get with OPPO R7 Lite. It is paired with the pre-installed theme that freshens the eyes, that changes everytime you press the power button to turn on your display.
Performance
The midrange processor was able to handle the daily task that I usually do. I am sure it will perform the same with you unless you are a hardcore gamer and you are paid to do that. 🙂 The 2G RAM is pretty much enough for my social media updates, Youtube playback, e-mails including Spotify streaming before I sleep.
Camera and video test
We did a Youtube video about the camera test and video footage. Watch it here:
Here are select photos that I took using the automatic settings of the R7 Lite.

The camera can take a clear photo at a shutter speed of 1/60 with the lens wide open at f/2.2. And if you consider printing your photo, I am sure it will be great given size of the image at 4160 x 2340.

It is not yet late if you are going to purchase OPPO R7 Lite. Given the great build and construction of the phone, bright and clear display, camera that performs really good, and the quick charging feature. There is only one that OPPO has to improve — the pricing. I’m sure they can lower the price down soon.
