The camera of StarMobile KV shoots fast, the autofocus is relatively fast too. But you might be disappointed a little bit with the quality of photos it creates. There are some inconsistencies in the color rendition. There are times that I get sharp images. When there is adequate light (when you are lucky), it produces beautiful photo also.
Battery
I always base my battery test on my actual usage. First I use the smartphone on a WiFi network, second I use mobile data. StarMobile KV on WiFi last 12 hours, and on mobile data it will hold only for about six hours.
Digital TV
The Digital TV receiver is the best experience I had with the KV. In areas where a signal is strong, you get crystal clear receptions. There are few free to air channels like ABS-CBN, GMA 7 and others that you can watch.
But you don’t get these experience on a regular basis. When indoors it is having a hard time to get a signal.
Performance
I had a pleasant experience using the StarMobile KV, screen is responsive, it has a decent processing power, the camera could be re-considered, but you have to use post processing apps to make it more attractive. Audio and playbacks are awesome too.
Conclusion
Considering the design, aesthetics, specs under the hood, pricing and performance, StarMobile KV can be considered. Remember that StarMobile has freebies that is included in the package which is a plus factor. KV is very pleasant to hold in the hands, it became more attractive when I used the free casing. Overall performance is about 3.8 out of 5 in our grading system. Given that, the pricing of this smartphone should be below P8k only.
